I read some predictions today saying that some big software company may buy Asterisk – That I would say will be equivalent to killing Asterisk. The usefulness and the beauty of open source will be lost to commericialization. Well, even though I firmly am against any such move by any company to commericialize this application, I would every agree with the writer of the article that it is possible.
